JUST IN: France calls on all its citizens to leave Iran immediately.

In August 2024, France advised its citizens in Iran to leave immediately due to heightened regional tensions following the assassination of Hamas leader Ismail Haniyeh in Tehran, which Iran attributed to Israel.

More recently, on January 8, 2025, France’s Foreign Minister Jean-Noel Barrot urged French nationals to avoid traveling to Iran until all French citizens detained there are released, citing their unjust detention in unworthy conditions. www.multilinks.biz

Additionally, on March 20, 2025, French President Emmanuel Macron announced the release of French citizen Olivier Grondeau, who had been imprisoned in Iran for over 880 days.

As of today, March 21, 2025, there is no new advisory from the French government calling for all its citizens to leave Iran immediately.
