BREAKING NEWS: The Transmission Company of Nigeria (TCN) has announced plans to carry out maintenance on the 60 Mega Volt Ampere (MVA) TR2 at Kukwaba Transmission substation in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).

The Transmission Company of Nigeria (TCN) has announced that it will conduct routine preventive maintenance on the 60 Mega Volt Ampere (MVA) TR2 transformer at the Kukwaba Transmission Substation in Abuja. This maintenance is scheduled for Saturday, May 17, 2025, from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM. www.multilinks.biz

During this period, the Abuja Electricity Distribution Company (AEDC) will be unable to draw power from the transformer, leading to a temporary power outage in several areas, including:

  • Wuye
  • Utako
  • Parts of Jabi
  • Idu Railway Station
  • Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) headquarters
  • Federal Medical Centre (FMC)
  • Baze University
  • Nile University
  • Coca-Cola
  • Citec
  • Idu Industrial Area
  • Kuchigoro

TCN has assured that power supply will be restored immediately upon completion of the maintenance work. The company regrets any inconvenience this may cause and appreciates the public’s understanding.
