Dangote Refinery has announced the reducing of ex-depot (gantry) price of petrol by N65.00, lowering it from N890 to N825 per litre. This change will take effect on February 27, 2025.

As of today, February 27, 2025, the Dangote Petroleum Refinery has reduced its ex-depot price of Premium Motor Spirit (PMS), commonly known as petrol, by ₦65 per liter, bringing it down from ₦890 to ₦825 per liter. This adjustment is intended to provide relief to Nigerians ahead of the upcoming Ramadan season.

In response to this reduction, MRS Oil, a partner of Dangote Refinery, has announced new pump prices for its petrol stations, effective immediately:

  • Lagos: ₦860 per liter
  • South-West: ₦870 per liter
  • North: ₦880 per liter
  • South-South and South-East: ₦890 per liter

These regional price variations account for transportation and distribution costs. MRS Oil has urged customers to report any stations selling above the listed prices to ensure compliance and maintain consumer trust.

This is the second price reduction by Dangote Refinery in February 2025. Earlier this month, the ex-depot price was decreased from ₦950 to ₦890 per liter, reflecting favorable developments in the global energy sector and a significant decline in international crude oil prices.

These adjustments aim to alleviate the financial burden on consumers and stabilize the domestic fuel market.
