3.The FA ruled out the possibility of his return to the Three Lions setup, prompting Greenwood to move on and choose a different national team.

Mason Greenwood has closed the door on a potential England reunion and chosen to switch his international allegiance.
The Football Association (FA) reportedly made it clear to the striker that he won’t be considered for selection again, even after the change of guard that saw Thomas Tuchel replace Gareth Southgate.
Which national team will Greenwood play for?
The Manchester Evening News now reports that the Marseille striker has completed the necessary paperwork to represent Jamaica moving forward.
Greenwood qualifies to play for Jamaica through his paternal lineage. Since he has only made one appearance for England, in September 2020 as a second-half substitute against Iceland, he remains eligible to switch his international allegiance to the Caribbean nation.
FIFA rules on eligibility
FIFA rules permit a player to switch allegiances if they haven’t featured in no more than three competitive matches before turning 21. The player must also wait three years before doing so, and in Greenwood’s case, that elapsed in September 2023.

Manchester United’s attempt to reintegrate him back into the first team failed, and he was loaned out to Getafe before being sold to Marseille.
